Nashua, NH -- December 11, 2001 --- Dharma Systems Inc., a developer and marketer of application integration technology, announced today that Denon Electronics Inc. a premier manufacturer of audio/video equipment, has chosen Dharma’s eUnify technology. DENON will use eUnify to leverage their legacy ERP system for providing self-service Web applications. eUnify will allow DENON’s sales representatives and distributors to place orders through the web without requiring manual re-entry of data in their ERP application and in addition provide up-to date order and inventory information for the sales force.
Dharma Systems’ eUnify product will streamline DENON’s web based order management application by linking with its AS/400 based JDEdwards systems. “Dharma’s eUnify technology has allowed us to develop a web application that is geared to meeting our sales representatives needs without sacrificing our investments in JDEdwards” said Raymond Deming, VP Operations of Denon Electronics. The self-service web application would allow order entry, order status and tracking, and provide information on inventory and availability.
“Our requirement for the integration technology were a) ability to use open technology like Microsoft ASP for developing the self-service web application b) ability to implement a Business to Business solution with an open standard like SOAP (simple object access protocol) in the future and c) to maximize the investments in our existing JDEdwards solution”, said Raymond Deming. “Dharma’s technology gave us the flexibility we needed for the future while helping us continue to leverage our existing investments in JDEdwards”.
“DENON was very particular that the project costs were in line with the returns they were expecting from the solution. Dharma could dramatically simplify the web project by leveraging their JDEdwards investments rather than implementing a complex stand-alone eBusiness package,” said J. Sasidhar, President of Dharma Systems. “The underlying benefit of Dharma eUnify is that it simplifies the process of web to legacy integration while extending the reach of the business without the need to redo the current business rules, processes and information.”
